The double bass bow

The double bass bow comes in two distinct forms (shown below). The “French” or “overhand” bow is similar in shape and implementation to the bow used on the other members of the orchestral string instrument family, while the “German” or “Butler” bow is typically broader and shorter, and is held in a “hand shake” position. These two bows provide for different ways of moving the arm and distributing force on the strings. Proponents of the French bow argue that it is more maneuverable, due to the angle at which the player holds the bow. Advocates of the German bow claim that it allows the player to apply more arm weight on the strings. The differences between the two, however, are minute for a proficient player, and both bows are used by modern players in major orchestras.

Rose and Duck’s Best Mixer

Duck has always dislike Rose ever since we all went to the high school. It has been so long that we already forgotten what were the reasons that turned their relationship into such state. Just a few days ago, Rose wished to borrow Duck’s electronic mixer and asked me to help her. I did, and the mixer was borrowed as if I’m the one who needs it. To my dismay, Rose spoilt the mixer. It was the best mixer available on the market and Duck had paid a high price for it. Gosh what will happen if Duck finds out the truth?

Learn to Use Free Senior Chat Soon

The computer may actually be something new for older people.  They have been used to doing things by hand and many do not trust the Internet nor their ability to learn how to use a computer.  Actually it is very easy and all seniors should take the time to learn how to use the computer.  One of the things they will enjoy is learning to use free senior chat.  They will discover how nice it is to have someone to talk to at any time of the day or night.  They will learn to share things with others and they will no longer feel like they are alone.

Getting Help from Afar

A friend of mine called me not too long ago and told me that he was going to be moving out to the west coast.  When I asked him why, he told me that he was going to be getting a job at a Sacramento jewelry store.  He knew that I wanted him to help me find a ring for my girlfriend, so he told me that he would still help me with that, even though he would be living on the other side of the country.  I was glad that he was still going to help me out.  He is a good friend.
