You know, when I gave birth to my daughter fifteen years ago, I never really gave much thought to what it would be like to raise a teenage girl. I just knew she was this cute, tiny, precious little bundle, and that I wanted to protect her from everything. Well, that’s still how I feel about her – I want to protect her from everything! So when our town started having massive problems with underage drinking, I went and bought an entire home theater entertainment system. Now her and her friends hang out here a lot, and I know that they are safe.

I have always been aware that one of the best ways to get ahead is to win in the margins. Basically, you look for ways to make a little extra on the side whenever you can. I’ve gotten pretty good at this and it’s served us well. While I definitely don’t have the capital to become a full scale heavy equipment trader, I can certainly pick up a few pieces when I see them for a fantastic price. I then do some simple repairs and resell them for a profit. I can do this several times a year for quite an impact on my income.

My wife and I just returned from a really fun trip. We met my two brothers and their wives at Lake Rotoiti. We all shared the cost and rented one of the beautiful Lake Rotoiti Holiday Homes. We were able to make our selection and reservations online. The home we rented had four bedrooms and included all the linens and appliances we needed. We cooked most of our meals onthe BBQ that was provided and spent several days hiking in the surrounding forest. We spent time swimming and water skiing as well. We all had a wonderful time and will surely do this again.
