Why do I recommend this option? I recommend this to you because contractors without the training are not up-to-date on all the latest in environmentally friendly building concepts. LEED certified contractors/builders can help design and then build or remodel your structure to fit environmental standards. Not only will this save you money and save the planet, it will provide you with a tax break under state and/or federal incentives. Check with your state to find out more on tax breaks and ask contractors/builders you contact if they are LEED certified before you hire them.
