More Tips For Investing In The Stock Market

March 26th, 2009

Another idiosyncrasy of stock market investing tips is how share values fluctuate. Share prices go up and down according to the simple laws of supply and demand. Since the number of shares a company can issue is finite, the supply is, by definition, already limited. If more people are trying to buy the stock than the number of shares available, this means demand is high and the share prices increase. If the number of outstanding, or unpurchased shares exceeds the number of orders for them, then the share price goes down. This is the same supply and demand principles that apply to most types of markets.
