Neighborhood Noises

I recently purchased a generator for my home and it was really loud. Every day, three times a day like clock work, it would start up and hum so loudly that I had police banging on my door for breaking noise ordinances after hours. I ended up having to pay fines twice for having such a noisy generator. The final straw for me was when the generator kicked on in the middle of the night and woke me up for the fourth time while I was working the graveyard shift at work. I had my generator replaced with one of those honda portable quiet generators the very next day.
