Why You Might Need Credit Card Logos for Your Website
June 12th, 2009
Credit card logos are the images that make a card memorable. Each major credit card company has their own recognizable logo. For example, Visa features a logo consisting of a dark blue stripe, white stripe and yellow stripe with the Visa brand name in the middle. The Mastercard logo shows two connected circles with the Mastercard name on them. American Express has a logo with a blue background and white lettering.
So what do credit card logos have to do with your business? Well, if you have a merchant account or even a PayPal account through which you accept credit and/or debit cards, featuring images of these well-known logos tells your customers immediately that you accept these payment types.
Because most consumers shop online with a credit card or debit card, the display of credit card logos on your high traffic pages can help bring in business. It also makes your online store or online service look more professional. The first impression a customer gets of your business can go a long way towards whether or not they purchase from you. There are many free sources of credit card logos images on the Web.
