Early Diagnosis For Celiac Disease

March 11th, 2010

Celiac Disease is more common than we are lead to believe, and in Finland it is shown that one in every 100 people have the condition. If a family member has the disease then there is a five – 15% chance other family members will suffer from it.Diagnosing the condition early is important to prevent any critical illness. Known as the disease of the small intestine, Celiac Disease is an allergy to gluten products. Products such as pasta and cereals contain gluten and eating these proteins will eventually damage the intestine and possibly lead to further, more serious illnesses.Speak to your doctor regarding a gluten free diet and your body will be fit and healthy again in no time.

Take a celiac blood test.
