green poop,

November 8th, 2009

In 1932 Dr. Burrill Crohn and his associates discovered a new, location of the disease green poop. This form, Crohn’s disease, was named after Dr. Crohn.3 In this instance, IBD is found at the lower portion of the small intestine, between the ileum and the ileocecal valve, which closes off the small intestine from the “blind pouch” at the beginning of the large intestine, the cecurir. When the disease is found anyplace along this route from the ileum to the ileocecal valve, it is called Crohn’s disease. Crohn’s disease, therefore, appeared to have an origin different from IBD in the colon, or large intestine, but does it?
