Healthy Living to Counter Heart Disease

March 22nd, 2009

People with a high risk of developing heart disease are the heavy smoker, hypertension suffers, diabetes patients, the obese and the sedentary. There are also a number of people who are at risk due to genetic reasons. If you have a family history of heart disease, you should discuss it with your doctor. If you have any of these risk factors, it would be smart to go for regular annual check ups to pre-empt any potential heart disease. The smarter thing to do is to negate the risk factors in the first place by not smoking, eat healthy and keep fit through regular exercise. Prevention is better than a cure for heart disease
