May 11th, 2009

Do you know how to lower triglycerides? If your doctor has told you that you need to lower triglyceride levels in your body, there are some specific things he probably has told you as well concerning your lifestyle. If you have poor eating habits, you will need to work on changing those first. Choose foods that are lower in fats and sugars. Eat more whole grain foods and limit your intake of alcohol. Omega 3 fatty acids are also important to help lower triglycerides and this can be found in salmon and other fish. When you lower triglyceride levels, you also reduce your risk of getting heart disease.
