Is it better to lose weight rapidly or slowly? Many nutritionists and dietitians will argue that weight loss should be slow and steady because doing so is “safer” for the body and that by doing so, it will help you inculcate good dietary habits into your body. They also argue that people who go on rapid weight loss diets are more prone to rebounding and regaining most of the weight back. However, the latter statement can be true in both cases. The minute you stop dieting and revert back to unhealthy eating habits, you will start gaining weight back, whether you lost your weight slowly or rapidly.
