Laser treatment for nail fungus is becoming increasingly popular. A fungal infection in the toe nail is a common and recurring problem that causes a discolouration of the toe nails. The bugs just love the dark moist environment inside the shoes. Many of the treatment are somewhat unsatisfactory as the recurrence rate is so high. The recurrence rate is so high as we keep putting the foot back into the dark moist environment of the shoe. Laser treatment is the latest cure being touted for this. It may or may not work as we are still waiting for the main clinical trials. Regardless of its efficacy, it too will be hindered by the recurrence rate.
