Making It to The US for Acai Research

A good acai research need fresh acai berries. But, it is hard to transport the acai berry fresh to the United States. Since it cannot be shipped fresh to the United States, scientists have had to make do with experimenting on other forms of the acai berry such as the powdered form, freeze dried form, pills, drink mixes, tea, candies, ice cream and shakes.
These are not as good for research, of course, because they have already been processed heavily and many nutrients have already been lost.
But, it is still better than nothing and scientists who are serious about acai research can set up labs in Brazil.
