Podiatry Schools

January 7th, 2010

Podiatry Schools are were podiatrists get their degrees. In the USA, they are most stand alone private colleges, some with University affiliations. In the UK, Australia, South Africa and new Zealand, they are fully fledged departments in Universities. The entry criteria for Podiatry Schools does vary around the world, with the USA requiring an undergraduate degree, making their course a postgraduate one. The rest of the world does not require an undergraduate degree, however, the scope of practice of podiatry in those countries is very different to the USA. In a lot of those countries the advanced practice study is carried out after graduation.
