Why People Risk Every thing For Material Possessions

I am a paralegal for a very prominent bankruptcy attorney. One of my main task is to help the clients put together their Family Budget Worksheet for the judge. I have seen all kinds of out rages expenses with very little income. It is beyond me why everyone wants to keep up with the Jones’. It is the worst thing to place yourself so far in debt that you have to literally hide from all you creditors. Then to risk losing everything you placed yourself so far in debt to obtain. I’ll stick to my budget and live the way I can afford.
