Making the switch from a traditional look to a more modern look

I had really wanted to make some changes to my mother’s bedroom after her surgery, but she was a little worried that I might do something drastic.  I just wanted her to have something new and fresh to look at since she’d be spending a lot more time there.  I got rid of the rose patterned wall paper and painted the walls a nice khaki color.  I then opted to replace her floral patterned bedspread with more Modern Bedding.  I picked out a nice slate grey color with a fine pin strip print.  It has done wonders for her mood and even gave the whole room a new feeling with very little money and effort.
