Buying mother’s rings for a birthday present

My mother’s birthday is coming up and after searching for an appropriate gift that tells her I care but does not try to intimidate with being ostentatious, I think I am going for mothers rings. My mother is a conservative person but she enjoys a bit of jewellery, especially when going out.  Her engagement ring and wedding ring are part of daily routine.  On special occasions she likes to dress up and this time I am thinking of a nice dress ring with a set of stones in a range of colours, it will bring out the freshness of her hands and will go with any outfit.  My mothers rings are very plain, I hope she will enjoy this one!
