There is nothing like a little humor to put people at ease. Particularly among a group of people who aren’t well acquainted, but find themselves sharing a table at a wedding reception, a clever toast or funny groom speech can work like magic. All of a sudden, the mood is lightened, and there is an atmosphere that lends itself to fun conversation. The best part of all is probably that these little tributes are heartfelt and effortless. Unlike the many other parts of a wedding that require detailed planning and attention, a toast or speech is a piece of cake for the person delivering it.
