Glasses Are No Substitute For Safety Goggles

January 19th, 2012

Some people who wear glasses assume that they are adequately protected and have no need to wear safety goggles. While glasses can provide some modest protection from anything coming directly from the front of the wearer, they are in no way equivalent to goggles in protection and should never be worn as a substitute. The risk of something either coming in through the side or actually breaking the glasses is too high. It is not worth risking that things will go wrong.
