The Diamond Earrings that were given as a wedding gift

My son got his soon to be wife a pair of the most beautiful Diamond Studs as a wedding gift . He bought them with the intention of her wearing them on their wedding day. Instead of her opening them at the reception he decided to give them to her the day of the wedding. So he told her he wanted her to meet them at the church he had to talk with her. I bet that had her a little nervous. So they meet several hours before the wedding was to take place. He then gave her the diamond earrings. She wore them during the ceremony.
