What is the most popular file sharing software?

Where can I find the best software or program on the Internet to use for P2P file sharing? I know now that P2P means peer to peer, so that is one thing I learned. I also learned about the troubles you can have with Windows Vista and their security program, you need to make sure you use something like the new update ares downloading program application available, they are smart to update when others are dragging their feet on it, they will get all the business when others get nothing. There are so many downloading they overloaded there server, and they had to rush to fix that so everyone can get the new file sharing program.
