Some friends of ours had recently returned from a weekend getaway in taupo and they could not say enough about the place they stayed. If a recommendation could come any higher I would be very surprised. We were going there soon for a weekend away ourselves so we took their advice and booked in to lake taupo lodge. They were certainly spot on with their opinion of the place. It was absolutely amazing, everything from the very friendly hosts to the suites, to the wonderfully prepared home cooked meals we got in the morning and evening. We will definitely be returning there and recommending it to our other friends.
